I was really impressed when I started my new job.  It was my first time working in a large office and, frankly, I thought one of the coolest things about my new digs was the touchless paper towel dispensers.

You see, even after scrubbing your hands thoughly, you will still have some germs left on your fingers.  It’s simply a fact of life, you cannot scrub all of the germs away. That means that touching a paper towel dispenser after washing your hands can actually re-contaiminate them with germs from your fellow-coworkers.

Now, I’m not a germ freak, but I realized how important it was to be able to keep ones hands clean after washing, and I was really happy to be able to do that using the latest in papder towel technology.

What is really neat, is that you can now inexpensively bring that paper towel technology home.  The iTouchless paper towel dispenser is now available, and it allows you to dispense paper towels from your own home without touching the dispenser or towels themselves.

Which, in a houseful of pets and kids, can be a great way to keep  from spreading germs unnecessarily.

The iTouchless comes in two models.  Their initial model wasn’t that big of a hit as it tore the paper towels very poorly, and really was more frustrating to use than a regular paper towel dispenser.

The iTouchless II was designed to answer a lot of the earlier model’s problems.   It has a perforation sensor to help it determine where the perforations are, and stop right on them, making it easy to get a perfect tear.  Additionally, it had more support for the paper towel, to help it tear more easily.
